<p>PURPOSE:To improve the workability by reducing the inserting force when a male side pipe is engaged with a female side pipe through an O-ring. CONSTITUTION:An open tip part of a female side pipe 4 which is engaged with a male side pipe through an O-ring is plugged by a plug 1 before engagement with the male side pipe. The plug 1 is provided with a lid part 1b to be engaged with the inner circumference of a cylindrical part 8b of a union 8 provided to the tip of the male side pipe 4, and a sponge 9 which is immersed in oil is mounted on the edge surface of the lid part 1b. This sponge 9 is maintained in the pushingly-pressed condition against the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part 8b when the plug 1 is fixed to the cylindrical part 8b.</p> |
