METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MOUNTING PART

PURPOSE: To correctly mount a part on a printed circuit board by accurately finding the positions of the part and a manipulator or the relative positions of these items. CONSTITUTION: This is a method, which finds the position of a part with an imaging device 25 and mounts the part on a printed circuit board 2 by a manipulator 23. This device is suitable for performing this method. The images of the part and a reference member, coupled with the manipulator 23, are picked up by the imaging device 25. The position of the part with respect to the manipulator can be directly found from the picked-up image. The position of the manipulator part with respect to imaging device can be also found.
