PURPOSE:To easily measure the changes in outer wall thickness of tank body from the outside of jacket by using a non-destructive method even when the tank is operating, and further obtain a measuring method for changes in wall thickness of tank with jacket in which measuring position can be set as desired. CONSTITUTION:While liquid is introduced into a jacket 6, a probe 18 is attached on an outer wall of the jacket 6 to generate supersonic wave. When the probe 18 generates supersonic wave to an outer wall 8 of a tank body 4, the supersonic wave reflects on the outer wall 8 of the body 4 through the liquid inside jacket and the outer wall 12 of the jacket 6 and it is detected, so that the changing state in wall thickness of the wall 8 of the body 4 can be measured. |
