摘要 PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a battery by firing and composing a mixture of lithium salt and vanadium pentoxide to form gamma-type LiV2O5 which is used as positive electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:gamma-type LiV2O5 which lithium ions easily move in and out of and which is easily charged or discharged by electrochemical emission and storage of lithium ions has a high potential of 3.5V or more during charge/ discharge cycle. It, therefore, has excellent property as positive electrode active material for a rithium secondary battery, and if used as active material the secondary battery with high potential and high energy density can be manufactured. Specifically. LiOH.H2O, Li2C2O4, Li2CO3 and V2O5 are used as starting material to form the y-type LiV2O5. That is, respective lithium salts and V2O5, are starting material and such a mixture that the mole mixture ratio of lithium to vanadium is 1.00:1.00 is put into alumina crusible and fired in an argon atmosphere at 750 deg.C for eight hours. Charge/discharge property is as illustrated.
