PURPOSE:To enable file transfer without executing a command for converting another Chinese character (KANJI) code by a user before (after) the file transfer at a terminal or without making into characters just by executing only one file transfer command by converting the character code system of a transfer file corresponding to a character code system on the reception side. CONSTITUTION:When the file transfer command is executed, first of all, the KANJI code on the reception side is read by environmental conversion or arguments (step 101). Next, the byte sequence of the file to be transmitted is read (step 102) and according to the feature of the byte sequence, the KANJI code used for the file is discriminated (step 103). In this case, when the KANJI code can be discriminated, the routine of conversion from the transmission side character code to the reception side character code is called, and the code is converted to the reception side KANJI code (step 104). Afterwards, the code is transferred to the opposite side (step 105). |
