The invention relates to a method of producing a tin-plated steel strip, with no annealing stage. The steel contains traces, in specified quantities, of carbon, silicon, manganese, sulphur, aluminium, nitrogen and phosphorus and possesses excellent formability (shaping ability) and excellent corrosion resistance. Application: production of cans by drawing and deep-drawing using this steel.
