As the machine travels along the ground, a front rotor (5) digs out segment-shaped pieces of soil (16) which are then projected towards a rear rotor (4). The rear rotor completes the turning operation, and deposits the turned segments at the rear of the machine. The transmission of driving power to the rotors takes place independently, and normally is hydraulic. |
