Peptide having a biological activity equivalent to that of jacaline and comprising the following sequence (II): <IMAGE> in which X represents an uncharged hydrophilic amino acid. Use of this peptide or of one of the subunits of jacaline in the treatment of diseases linked to HIV viruses.
