<p>A method for encrypting messages transmitted between interconnected networks (2, 8) via bridges (6) using a predetermined network protocol, particularly for example the Internet protocol (IP); a device for transmitting encrypted data between at least two devices (3, 9) belonging to two different networks which are interconnected via bridges using the defined network protocol; and an encryption device implementing said method. The method is characterized in that messages are encrypted while leaving the 'header' portion of the message uncoded, whereby said message may be routed through said bridges.</p> |
