The invention relates to a vortex generator. According to a main arrangement this generator is characterised by a hollow tower 2 equipped with vertical convectors 1 forming nozzles and oriented into the wind 12. At the peak of the tower is the device 25 having the task of converting the kinetic energy of the induced flow into mechanical or electrical energy, a static aspirator 26 makes it possible to remove this flow upwards. In the bottom of the tower is the aspirator 8 in the shape of a spiral housing equipped with steerable blades 9 and vertical convectors forming nozzles. The whole of the tower-aspirator steers into the wind by means of a mechanical device 21. The invention finds a main application in the production of electrical energy. <IMAGE>
