A stationary exchange transmits messages over radio transmission channels to numerous mobile subscribers. For the operation of different types of subscriber appts. and different services in the radio transmission system, in each subscriber appts. are realised only such functions required for the services desired by the respective subscriber appts. Only a partial range of functions is common to all subscriber appts. For this purpose each subscriber appts. comprises devices for the reception and evaluation of an organisation data stream transmitted over the radio transmission channel. The messages from the stationary exchange are transmitted to subscriber appts. to be served, together with the services offered by the exchange.
