Cutting up garden refuse using two feed rotors and cutter rotor - with one feed rotor externally driven and used to drive other rotors

The machine for cutting up garden refuse has a hopper (26) into which the refuse is loaded. Two feed rotors are mounted at the hopper outlet. One of these rotors (34) is externally driven whilst the other rotor (36) is driven by being pressed against the first rotor by a swinging arm (38) and a tension spring (40). The externally driven feed rotor (34) also drives the cutter rotor (52) which is pressed against the feed rotor (34). The cutter rotor (32) has between two and nine, preferably four, cutting teeth equally spaced around its periphery. USE/ADVANTAGE - Machine for cutting up garden refuse and it can be used also for removing the insulation from electric cables. The rotor blades have a longer service life than the rotor blades of machines at present in use.
