The electronic information 'book' has the approximate size of a cheque book and is based upon a keyboard (11), display (12), processor (25), memory (22), voltage source (25) and clock (28). A section of the memory is used for the storage of information, e.g. addresses, telephone numbers, road map data and the other contains the programme in ROM form. The software provides a search function such that timetables for transport may be accessed by specifying stations. Output data is displayed in alphanumeric form. ADVANTAGE - Simplifies data search process.
