Thread or one with fitted pliable strip (2) divides inlets longitudinal axis the inner space between two plates of flat partly closed housing (4) into space zones (5,6) or differing gas pressure. The thread enters at open short side surface of flat rectangular housing and as a result of difference pressure of the space zones (5,6) and in the longitudinal direction of the housing is drawn and curved and exists opposite to the entry on the same side surface. Bendable strip fixed at both ends forms a variable dividing wall of space zone (6) opposite to space zone (5) of higher gas pressure and lays, tensions and shapes a thread (1) behind the strip (2) in the space zone (6) with low gas pressure. USE/ADVANTAGE - Thread storage unit and tensioner provides rapid and elastic thread tension with low thread pull and good vibration damping.
