<p>A device combining a base (1) and a preferably injection moulded or thermoformed plastic cover, wherein the base comprises hollow indents acting as wells (3, 4) for chemical or biochemical tests, recesses (10) for atmospheric control materials (8) and optionally biological culture sites, as well as grooves or ribs (12) and stops or pins (13) defining mutually discrete areas. The cover co-operates with the base via complementary grooves or ribs which seal off the areas from one another and/or from the atmosphere outside. The device may be used as laboratory equipment for bacteriological and/or chemical assays.</p> |
