(A) Patent DE4024515 describes fusion of hydrogen nuclei pairs by contact with micro-clusters of three to a hundred thousand atoms of one or more sub-group elements, the micro-clusters being obtd. by cooling high temp. ultra-finely divided particles using a carrier medium. The process is carried out in a unit which allows constant exchange of micro-clusters and constant measurement of fusion prods.. (B) Also claimed is chemical synthesis of gases and opt. liqs. by means of micro-clusters acting as catalyst, the process being carried out in a unit which allows constant exchange of micro-clusters and constant measurement of reaction prods.. ADVANTAGE - The process is reproducible and allows optimisation of the various process parameters.
