<p>A fluid exchange apparatus (10) for the transfer of fluids from a first containment area (16) to a second containment area (44), including a total fluid reconciliation process, whereby the same amount of fluid transferred from the first containment area (16) to the second containment area (44) is replenished into the first containment area (16), or is replenished to a preset amount. The fluid exchanger (10) includes an evacuation section (12) having a vacuum pump (36) therein, and a fill section (14). The fluid being vacated from the first containment area (16) is transferred to the second containment area (44) by vacuum pressure introduced into the first containment area (16). An air purge is used to drive fluid out of the fluid passages/filters into the first containment area (44). The pressure may be developed internally to the fluid exchange apparatus (10) or externally thereto. CPU (100) controlled electronics are utilized to measure, monitor, and control, via a user interface screen, the fluid exchange machine.</p> |
