A board for use as concrete formwork or as a transport pellet is a rigid sheet with at least one functional side next to the concrete or material being transported; the part of the sheet next to the functional side is made of plastic material consisting mainly of a polyolefin, e.g., polyethylene. As an example a flat sheet is made of reused plastic scrap with 81 wt.% polyolefin, of which 90 wt.% is polyethylene. The scrap material is reduced to particles of max. size 8mm and passed through an extruder, moulded to the flat sheet and cooled. The pressing operation also incorporates a wood grain type surface finish. ADVANTAGE - The prod. is lightweight, remains clean for a long period, and can be used in special dimensional circumstances with conventional tools.
