The coupler consists of a connecting element (28) extending along a horizontal butt joint (30). The connecting element end (32) facing the rear (14) of the two appliances(12) hooks onto them. The connecting element end facing the appliances front in their lengthwise direction (50) is moved by a cam (52) so that he appliances are simultaneously braced together.
