The prod.(6) is set down on the shelf unit (10) which can be moved across the transport direction (arrow 7) of the supply belt (3). The prod.is then inserted into the packaging mould (37) of the packaging machine. The shelf unit can have a slide carriage (20) which is displaceably guided in the locally fixed guide rails. The drive for the slide carriage comprises a toothed belt driven by a motor in the direction of displacement. The shelf unit can have two independently movable slide carriages displaceable in the X and Y directions. USE/ADVANTAGE - For food portion packaging installation,with low-cost design and precise insertion.
