摘要 An affinity sensor for measuring the concn. of a low molecular analyte consists of a hollow fibre or microcapsule with an enclosed colloidal soln. of 2 macromolecular affinity ligands. The affinity ligands do not precipitate on account of an excess of one component and on account of one or both components being monovalent. One of the affinity ligands can be displaced from its compound with the other by a lower molecular analyte. The membrane of the hollow fibre or microcapsule is permeable for the analyte and impermeable for the two high molecular affinity ligands. The viscosity of the soln. within the hollow fibre can be registered with a physical measuring device. USE/ADVANTAGE - The sensor can be used for many possible cases of affinity-bonding relationships and does not require immobilisation of an affinity ligand on a surface. The sensor can be used to measure the concn. of low molecular analytes, such as sugars.
