PURPOSE:To provide a semiconductor laser with stabilized mechanical vibration of a constant amplitude and a fixed frequency with stabilized laser oscillation maintained by a cantilever to derive self-excited oscillation by a pair of electrostriction transducers placed on the metal cantilever. CONSTITUTION:A pair of electrostriction transducers 60a, 60b which are expandable and constrictable by electrostriction effect are placed on both sides of a metal cantilever 30 respectively facing in opposite directions at location other than where a semiconductor laser 10 is located. Voltage at the electrode of the said electrostriction transducer 60a is inputted to an electric signal amplifier 80 through a lead wire 70a connected to the electrostriction transducer 60a, and then processed through a band-pass filter 90, an amplifier 100 and a phase shifter 110. Output voltage of the electric signal amplifier is applied to the electrostriction transducer 60b. The band-pass filter 90 is set to one of characteristic frequencies of the metal cantilever 30 and self-excited oscillation can be derived by this frequency. |
