PURPOSE:To enable selective use of a continuous form paper, by providing two sets of pin tractors, a paper passage for each continuous form paper, a means for transmitting the driving force of a driving device to the pin tractors, and a means for switching the transmitting means from one to the other of the pin tractors. CONSTITUTION:When using a continuous form paper 5a set on a pin tractor 13 by interrupting a printing operation conducted by using a continuous form paper 5b set on a pin tractor 20, a selecting switch 43a is operated, and a con trolling part 30 checks the operating condition of a sensor 31b. When setting of the continuous form paper 5b is detected, a driving motor 27 is reversely rotated, and when an end of the continuous form paper 5a is detected by the sensor 31b, rotation of the motor 27 is stopped. Then, the controlling part 30 checks the detection output of the sensor 31a to detect whether the continuous form paper 5b is set on the pin tractor 13. When the setting of the paper 5a is detected, a printer is ready for printing, and operating a paper-feeding switch 42a causes the paper 5a to be supplied to a printing position. |
