A device (1) for making a releasable electric connection has a U-shaped punched support (7) connected to a base plate (2) by at least one holder (6). Press pins (9) are arranged perpendicular to the base plate (2). The press pins (9) are longer than the sides of the support (7). A leaf spring (11a) presses the pins (9) towards the base plate (2) in the axial direction. The solder tracks (3) of a component (20) are each pressed by the pins (9) through the leaf springs (11a) on to the conductive tracks (4) of the base plate (2). At least part of the component (20) can be released from the support (7). ADVANTAGE - A simple, reliable connection where the component is not subjected to heat stress and there is no pulling, pushing or shearing stress between the component and the base plate.
