Monitoring temp. for thermal compression during LCD mfr. - measuring thermoelectric voltage between LCD track and printed circuit and using for control

The method involves making the parts to be joined at least partially electrically conducting. Electrical contacts of different material are connected to an electrical measurement device (1) which measures the thermo-electric voltage. The measured thermo-electric voltage is displayed and/or used for control and regulation. One of the parts to be connected is an LCD cell (6) and the thermo-electric voltage between at least one track on the LCD and the connected printed circuit (3) is measured, displayed and/or output. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for high resolution LCDs used in HDTV displays. Enables highly accurate measurement of temp. in adhesive gap between LCD and printed circuit without adversely affecting contacting etc.
