The parallel oscillator inductive heating circuit comprises a rectifier, a thysistor bridge circuit and a parallel oscillator coupled across the load points of the bridge circuit. The thysistors in the diagonally opposing arms of the bridge circuit are commuted by an extinction device, with a safety firing circuit responding to irregular commution of the thysistors, to deliver firing pulses to all the thysistors. Pref. the firing pulses are supplied as a pulse sequence with at least five times the frequency of the clock frequency.
