The automatic tuning method comprising the steps of; tuning VCO circuit by the PLL circuit; comparing carrier wave AGC V. with maximum AGC V., adjust that maximum AGC gets the greatest profit value if maximum AGC is smaller or equal than carrier wave AGC V.; adjusting the tuning voltage so that AGC gets the greatest profit value and store it in memory; adjusting the RF signal to the value voltage VCO minus carrier wave AGC V. and store it a second time in memory; substracting carrier wave AGC V./AGC from (first memory - second memory); comparing the integer corresponding to the profit value, if VCO/carrier wave AGC V.:AGC nearly equals VCO/carrier wave AGC V.-AGC, if the profit value equals the absolute value, the new VCO/carrier wave AGC V.:AGC becomes the last tuned voltage if carrier wave AGC V./AGC is greater than VOE/AGC, change the tuned voltage and store the value a third time as memory; and changing VCO/carrier wave AGC V.:AGC and carrier wave AGC V.'s tuned voltage, compare the absolute value and interger value of VCO/carrier wave AGC V.-AGC, and assign the last tuned voltage to the double conversion tuner.
