ACTIVE MODE STORING METHOD IN LOCAL SERVICE PROCESSOR

The operating mode of an universal signalling tranceiver board assembly (USTA) is determined according to a position on which the USTA is inserted. The method comprises the steps of: (A) storing operating mode data on a board supervising table and initializing addresses when operating mode designating request message is received; (B) writing operating mode data on the USTA; (C) checking operating state of the USTA to discriminate that the USTA is under normal service mode; (D) comparing the current mode with a mode designated by a local service processor; (E) storing mode designation result data when the modes are the same and otherwise sending reset signal to the USTA; and (F) executing reset process for the USTA and re-designating operating mode of the USTA.
