PURPOSE: To obtain a heterogeneous catalyst suitable for metathetic reaction of olefins by vaporizing a tungsten-contg. reagent, then routing the vapor thereof into a reaction space, keeping the vapor pressure of the reagent sufficiently high and the duration of interaction with the support sufficiently long and, if necessary, posttreating it. CONSTITUTION: A tungsten-cong. reagent (such as tungsten oxychloride) is vaporized and the vapor of a W-contg. reagent is routed into a reaction space, where the vapor is brought to interaction with a support substance (such as silica gel) at approximately 160-500 deg.C. The vapor pressure of the W-contg. reagent is kept sufficiently high, and the duration of interaction with the support sufficiently long, to keep the amount of the reagent at least equal to the number of available bonding sites of the support. Further, the W-contg. reagent which has not been bonded with the support substance is removed from the reaction space. If necessary, the W-contg. reagent is posttreated in order to modify its catalytic activity. |
