PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material which exhibits excellent image preservability and excellent thermal response by adding a specific chemical compound consisting of a formylamino group and a tertiary butyl group to the material with a thermal recording layer containing an aromatic isocyanate compound and an imino compound provided on a support. CONSTITUTION:The subject thermal recording material consists of a thermal recording layer containing an aromatic isocyanate compound and an imino compound. This material contains at least, one type (e.g. 1- formylaminonaphthalene) of a chemical compound expressed by formula 1 or 2. In the formula I (X1 is a formylamino group, an aldoxime group or a methacryloylamino group), and in the formula II (X2 is H and tertiary butyl group). Consequently, the material demonstrates superb thermal response and image preservability. |
