PURPOSE:To obtain a therapeutic agent for hyperlipemia to metabolic error of a lipoprotein, containing an endoserine antagonist. CONSTITUTION:The objective antihyperlipemia contains 1.0-100wt.% cyclic heptapeptide expressed by the formula cyclo(-X<1>-X<2>-X<3>-X<4>-X<5>-) (X<1> is D- phenylalanine, etc.; X<2> is D-aspartic acid, etc.; X<3> is L-proline, etc.; X<4> is D- alanine, etc.; X<5> is L-pipecolic acid, etc.) as an active ingredient. The agent can be prepared in forms of tablet, capsule, granule, inhalant, suppository, syrup, injection, aerosol, etc. The agent is useful for treatment and improvement of hyperlipemia, arteriosclerosis, hypercholesterolemia, etc. The dose is 0.01-20mg/kg in the case of oral administration and 0.001-2mg/kg in the case of parenteral administration. Endoserine is a substance which is a peptide having strong vasoconstriction action and discovered from a cultured mixture of endothelial cell. |
