PURPOSE:To prevent the misalignment phenomenon of drawn-up lines by dynamically determining the relative position of the drawn-up lines of one character row and those of the other character row when a compsn. wherein two or more kinds of character rows of different character systems are mixed within the same line is edited or outputted. CONSTITUTION:In the top line 104, bottom line 105 and base line used as an arranging reference line 106 of European writing, two kinds of a character coinciding with base line at its lower end, for example, 'M', 'h', 'x' and a character partially protruding from the base line downwardly but coinciding with the bottom line at its lower end, for example 'p' are contained. In the compsn. of European writing, by arranging characters so that the base lines of respective characters are always arranged on one straight line, the appearance of printed words easy to read is realized. |
