PURPOSE:To provide a tomographic image having a wide visual field width extending from a shallow part near the body surface to a deep part and immediately conform to the case requiring high sensitivity of Doppler mode or having a limitation of acoustic opening width. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic probe 1 having a plurality of oscillators, a means for driving each oscillator of the ultrasonic probe 1 according to a determined driving system to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves, a means for providing a tomographic image by use of the receipt signal obtained by the transmission and receipt of the transmitting and receiving means, and a system control circuit 7 for instructing the transmitting and receiving means to change the determined driving system to another driving system. |
