PURPOSE:To save the man power required for printing, and reduce the spoilage which is produced at the time of color matching. CONSTITUTION:When ink 4 passing through a gap 6 between an ink fountain roller 1 and an ink fountain adjustment plate 5 is transferred onto the ink fountain roller 1, and is transferred and supplied further from the ink fountain roller 1 to an ink doctor 8 and a group of ink distributing rollers on the downstream side, a heating device (an electric heater) 2 provided to the ink fountain roller 1 is operated, and the entire circumferential surface of the ink fountain roller 1 is heated uniformly. The surface temperature of the ink fountain roller 1 is measured with a temperature sensor 3, and a temperature measuring signal obtained in the measurement is sent to a temperature control device 7. The temperature measuring signal obtained by the temperature sensor 3 is compared with an objective temperature value preset in the temperature control device 7, and operation is made on the comparison. A control signal obtained by the operation is then sent to the heating device 2, and the heating device 2 is controlled for turning-on-and-off by the control signal so that the surface temperature of the ink fountain roller 1 can be made approximately the same as objective temperature value. |
