PURPOSE:To enhance shelf life stability and high-speed recording properties by using an electron receptive color developer consisting of pentanedioic acid having an alkyl group as a substituted group and/or a hexanedioic acid derivative. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid is prepared by dissolving or dispersing a specified dosage of an electron-receptive color developer consisting of pentanedioic acid having an alkyl group as a substituted group and/or hexanedioic acid derivative, and a coloring matter into an organic solvent together with a binder. Next, this coating liquid is applied to a supporting body such as paper, synthetic paper, plastic sheet or film, then the coat is dried to form a thermal color development layer and a thermal recording material containing the color developer is thus obtained. The thermal recording material is a transparent recording material, and is useful as an OHP recording material for OA equipment equipped with a thermal head. The typical example of the coloring matter used with the color developer is crystal violet lactone. |
