PURPOSE:To obtain a composition capable of suppressing the generation of a chloride gas when brought into contact with heat or flame, having excellent alkali resistance and keeping electrical characteristics even in a high-temperature atmosphere, by compounding a vinyl chloride polymer with ground limestone and calcined clay. CONSTITUTION:The objective vinyl chloride polymer composition is produced by compounding (A) 100pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride polymer with (B) 50-120pts. wt, preferably 60-80pts.wt. of ground limestone having an average particle diameter of <=1.3mum and a BET specific surface area of >=17,000 cm<2>/g, (C) 2-10pts.wt., preferably 5-8pts.wt. of calcined clay and, as necessary, (D) 40-70 pts.wt. of a plasticizer (e.g. dioctyl phthalate or trioctyl trimeritate) and a flame retardant (e.g. antimony trioxide), a stabilizer, a colorant, etc. |
