PURPOSE:To obtain stably prewashed rice with excellent taste and storing stability by using an apparatus wherein a stirring roll is built in a stirring cylinder and a screw cylinder having blades is provided so as to be rotatable differentially with a centrifugal dehydration tank and a net is provided rotatably in such a way that a rinsed and dehydrated cleaned rice is extended on the upper face. CONSTITUTION:A polished rice is stirred between a stirring cylinder 103 and a stirring roll 105 with cleaning water under pressurizing to separate a aleurone residue. The polished rice and the cleaning water reach the peripheral wall of a centrifugal dehydration tank 204 and the polished rice is centrifugally dehydrated while it is moved in the axial direction along the peripheral wall of the centrifugal dehydration tank 204. The dehydrated polished rice is extended on a net 301 of a vaporization means 300 and remaining stuck water is evaporated with a wind passing through the net 301 from the lower side and it is discharged as a prewashed rice. As washing of the polished rice and removal of stuck water can be performed thereby under optimum conditions, prewashed rice with excellent state and shelf life can be obtd. |
