<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst having excellent activity and activity holdability and being effective for hydrogenation treatment of a hydrocarbon oil by carrying a hydrogenation active metal ingredient on an alumina contg. a silica and specifying respectively a vol. ratio of a specified fine hole and a vol. of fine holes measured by means of the mercury pressing-in method and the nitrogen adsorptive method. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogenation active metal component is carried on an alumina contg. 2-35wt.% silica. In addition, the vol. of fine holes having diameters in the range of 30-100Angstrom is made at least 80% of the vol. of fine holes having diameters in the range of 0-150Angstrom and the vol. of fine holes having diameters in the range of 150-300Angstrom is made about 5-20% of the vol. of fine holes having diameters in the range of 0-300Angstrom and the vol. of fine holes having diameters in the range of 150-150,000Angstrom measured by means of the mercury pressing-in method is made in the range of about 0.01-0.07ml/g and the vol. of fine holes having diameters in the range of 300-15,000Angstrom measured by means of the mercury pressing-in method is made in the range of about 0.03ml/g or less and the vol. of fine holes having diameters in the range of 0-600Angstrom measured by means of the nitrogen adsorption method is made in the range of about 0.40-0.65ml/g.</p> |
