<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight filler useful for laminated body or the like having excellent tenacity characteristics by suspending unexpanded particles of microspheres in a form of an aqueous suspension in a two-dimensionally oriented spun nonwoven fabric, drying and expanding the particles. CONSTITUTION: A lightweight filler is obtained by suspending particles of unexpanded first stage of microsphers in a form of an aqueous suspension in a nonwoven fabric containing spun fibers (length is preferably 5-25 mm) of glass fibers or the like substantially oriented in two-dimension, drying thus obtained material, and heating the material at a temperature necessary for expanding particles for a required period of time.</p> |
