PURPOSE: To directly apply digitized data to a conventional machine without using hard copies, photographic films and such by providing a transcribing means, a forming means and a deleting means of a master-image structure on and from a master-image cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A scraper 44 collaborates with a channel 48 to delete the previous image structure from a surface 24 of a cylinder 10. A hopper 30 functionates to form a layer 26 of hydrophilic powder material magnetically adhered on the surface 24 of the master-image cylinder 10. An oleophilic material 34 is attached in formatted patterns on the surface of the hydrophilic powder covered layer 26 by a drum 35. Also, a radiative heater 38 melts the oleophilic material 34 into patterns having ample durability against stress specific in mass production printing. Ink is applied to a blanket cylinder 66 from an inking system 20 in image-formatted patterns prescribed by the inking system 20. |
