Non-fugitive gelling catalyst compositions for making polyurethane foams

A method for preparing a polyurethane foam which comprises reacting an organic polyisocyanate and a polyol in the presence of a blowing agent, a cell stabilizer and a catalyst composition consisting essentially of at least one compound of the following formula; <IMAGE> where R is hydrogen, c1-c8 alkyl, c6-c10 aryl or c7-c10 aralkyl, and n is 0-3. The preferred catalyst consists essentially of of the compound when n is 0, namely 3-quinuclidinol.
