PURPOSE:To provide a method for eradicating the pathogenic microorganisms without application of agrochemicals to the infested plants, as the healthy parts of the plant body are remained without being cut off whereby the adverse effect of the agrochemicals can be prevented on the plant. and surrounding environments and the yield reduction caused by cutting off the healthy plant body can be also prevented. CONSTITUTION:A heating material 5 whose calorific value is hgiher than that of water, when it is irradiated with microwaves, is applied to the infested part of the plant by coating or adhering and the infecsed part is irradiated with microwave to heat the material 5 up to the temperature at which the microorganism is killed. Thus, the sterilizing unit 1 is equipped with a hood 2 for covering the infected part, a microwave generator 4 for feeding the microwaves through the conduit 3 into the hood 2 and a generator controller 6 for controlling the oscillation time of the generator 4. |
