<p>PURPOSE:To provide a protecting device and method for protecting a triple pipe tuyere in a converter, etc., having bottom blowing function for melting a large quantity of scrap. CONSTITUTION:In the triple pipe tuyere for blowing carbonaceous material with carrier gas from an inner pipe, oxidized gas from an intermediate pipe and cooling gas from an outer pipe, flow rate of each tuyere is operated from the total gas vol. and pressure in the intermediate pipe and the pressure of each pipe at the tuyere side of an orifice plate fitted to a piping branched to each tuyere, and clogging ratio at the tip part of the tuyere is calculated. In a device and a method for observing the abnormal erosion in the triple pipe tuyere, an abnormal alarm is outputted in the case the tuyere in which the clogging ratio exceeds the range of 0.6-1.4 times the average value of the clogging ratio of each pipe, is generated, or in the case the variating quantity of the tuyere pressure is calculated and the tuyere in which this pressure value exceeds the range of 0.85-1.25 times the average value of the pressure value of each pipe is generated, thus the abnormal erosion of the inner pipe caused by clogging of the carbonaceous material in the inner pipe is prevented from generating.</p> |
