<p>PURPOSE:To inhibit multiplication of filamentous bacteria appearing in activated sludge for treating ammoniacal liquor. CONSTITUTION:In a method for treating activated sludge for ammoniacal liquor, 5-10% of returned sludge is introduced into an auxiliary aeration tank 10 provided in a vicinity of an aeration tank 3. The residual returned sludge is introduced into the aeration tank 3. After the returned sludge of the auxiliary aeration tank 10 is aerated so that the concentration of dissolved oxygen is regulated to 3-5ppm, the returned sludge is introduced into the aeration tank 3. Thereby multiplication of filamentous bacteria is inhibited and sedimentation properties of sludge and transparency of treated water in a thickener are enhanced. Further the usage of an additive such as a polymer flocculant in a decoloring stage is saved.</p> |
