<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the adjustment of a thermal printer for high quality image printing by supplying image data for test and diagnosis with an electronic circuit having a simple and effective constitution. CONSTITUTION: A method reproduces repetitive patterns at a high speed using only small bit numbers within the RAM 32. An MUX switch 38 transmits the input data, i.e., p-RIP data received through a bus 42 or RIP data received through a bus 20, to an output bus 50 connected to a data interface module 52. The DIM 52 is a front-end portion of the electric circuit of a thermal printer unit 16. The DIM 52 transmits through a bus 54 the image data for printing line by line to each of the corresponding driving circuits of the laser channels of the printer.</p> |
