PURPOSE: To provide a method for reducing a tire noise and a tire having low noise. CONSTITUTION: A tire tread 15 has a plurality of base pitches arranged in at least two circumferential sections around the tire. The base pitches 20A to 20M have at least two different pitch lengths and include a plurality of load-supporting tread blocks 40A to 40E. The different pitch lengths of the base pitches form a itch sequence in each circumferential section of the tire. The pitch sequences in the sections are arranged such that the harmonics produced by the base pitches in the tire tread substantially cancel harmonics produced by the base pitch of the part of the other at least circumferential part, and hence to reduce the noise produced by the tire when the tire is in use. |
