PURPOSE: To precisely cut a hardened work by forming the whole working face into the same-thickness homogeneous layer of an extremely hard material. CONSTITUTION: A working face 2 is provided with a lot of microcutting chip release grooves 3 extended in parallel with each other, and these microcutting chip release grooves face at acute angle relative to a tangent of the working face 2 and have a transversal surface having prescribed edges 4 and prescribed cutting chip release spaces. The whole working face 2 is provided with the same-thickness homogeneous layer of an extremely hard material, preferably boron nitride. The interval between the microcutting chip release grooves 3 is set to 35 to 600μm and the depth of the microcutting chip release grooves is set to 20 to 1000μm. |
