PURPOSE:To provide a method for efficiently, producing beta-rhodomycinone hopeful as a raw material of an antineoplastic agent in the form of a high-purity powder from a microorganism-cultured material. CONSTITUTION:A beta-rhodomycinoneglycoside-producing microorganism, e.g. Streptomyces.violaceus A262 SC-7 (FERM BP-1331) is cultured in a nutritive medium. After the following processes, i.e., (A) a process for treating the cultured material in an acidic condition at <=40 deg.C, (B) a process for removing microorganism cell bodies and (C) a process for heat treating the cell body- removed solution in an acidic condition, the objective beta-rhodomycinone is collected. |
