PAPER SHEET FEEDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To increase the number of image-formed paper sheets per unit time without increasing a conveyance speed by keeping a distance between sheets to the necessary minimum limit when paper sheets are continuously fed by an image forming device, such as a duplicator. CONSTITUTION:A paper sheet sensor 5 and a member 6 by which the rear end part of a preceding paper sheet is separated away from the sensor 5 are arranged in a paper sheet feed route running from a paper sheet feed part 30 to a photo-sensitive body 10. The forward end of a subsequent paper sheet is positioned by the sensor 5 while the rear end part of the preceding paper sheet is lifted by means of the separating member 6. Thereafter, the rear end of the preceding paper sheet is released from lifting action and conveyance is executed in a state that a distance between the preceding and subsequent sheets is held at a constant value.
