PURPOSE: To provide an automatic centering device for holding a rim horizontally in combination with a tire removing mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The automatic centering device for removing a tire comprises a horizontal disc 1 having a series of openings 3 in a radial direction and disposed at an equal interval on the circumference and rotatably driven by a vertical shaft 2 mounted down, and slidably mounting pawls 5 of the corresponding number assembled for holding wheel rims 50 in the openings 3. Two equal connecting rods 9 connected to a common vertical shaft 7 crossing a longitudinal axis of the corresponding opening 3 are mounted at the pawls to be disposed symmetrically to the openings 3. An opposite side end of the rod 9 is connected to two rotary plates 11 loosely mounted at the vertical shaft for supporting the disc.
